How everything works, end to end

Signing up, paying through Stripe, getting your private church subdomain, running live interpretation in the browser, and managing billing—including trials, renewals, and cancellation.

Starter monthly includes a 20-day free trial

1. Choose a plan

You decide up front whether you want an ongoing environment or a single paid event. Pricing is shown on the home page before you enter any payment details.

Starter monthly

Best for churches that interpret regularly. Stripe starts a subscription with a 20-day free trial. After the trial, billing is monthly until you cancel through the Stripe customer portal. Your organization gets a dedicated subdomain, admin tools, branding, languages, and QR codes.

Event only

A one-time payment for a conference, special service, or pilot without a monthly commitment. There is no recurring subscription for this option; access is aligned with the event product you purchase through Stripe Checkout.

2. Stripe Checkout

Card details and payment methods are collected on Stripe's hosted pages. This application never stores your full card number on its own servers.

  1. On the home page, open Create your church environment and fill in church name, desired subdomain, owner name, owner email, and a password for the owner account.
  2. Pick Starter monthly or Event only, then submit. The app creates a Stripe Checkout session and sends you to Stripe to confirm payment or the trial.
  3. If you leave Checkout early, you return to the site without being charged. If Checkout completes, Stripe notifies the platform and your tenant is provisioned.

3. After checkout

Your church or institution receives a private URL on this product's domain, for example https://your-church.translate.globallinkagency.com.

  • The owner signs in with the email and password defined at signup.
  • HTTPS for the tenant may be provisioned automatically after activation (depending on server configuration and DNS).
  • From the tenant admin panel, owners and admins configure branding, languages, user invites, QR codes, and usage-related settings.

4. Roles inside your tenant

Each person is invited or created with a role. Permissions differ by role.

Owner and admin
Full administration of the tenant, including users, branding, QR codes, and billing. Only these roles can open the Stripe customer portal for the organization's subscription.
Translator
Sends interpreted audio into the room for assigned languages. Translators do not manage Stripe billing for the organization.
Listener
Joins via link or QR code, selects a language, and listens in the browser. Listeners cannot change subscription or payment settings.

5. Running a live session

Interpreters and listeners use modern browsers. Audio is routed through encrypted WebRTC-style sessions managed by the platform, with tenant and language isolation.

  1. Publish or print the tenant QR codes from the admin panel so visitors can open the listener page.
  2. Translators sign in and join the broadcast room for their language channel.
  3. Listeners scan, pick a language, and use earbuds on their own phones—no dedicated receiver hardware.

6. Billing, trial, and cancellation

Ongoing subscriptions are billed by Stripe. Your organization's payment method and invoices live in Stripe, not in this app's database as card data.

During the starter trial

Use the full monthly feature set. If you cancel before the trial ends (through the Stripe customer portal), you avoid being charged the regular monthly price.

Managing or canceling a subscription

  1. Sign in on your tenant subdomain as an owner or admin.
  2. Open the admin panel and go to the Billing section.
  3. Click Open Stripe customer portal. Stripe opens a secure session where you can update payment methods, view invoices, and cancel or change the subscription.

Event-only purchases

Event billing is a payment product rather than a monthly subscription. There is no recurring charge to cancel for that path; access rules follow the event plan you purchased.
